I have always been interested in materials that can change form, texture, or color.

Glass is the medium that allows me the freedom to be creative yet is a great challenge at the same time. I am forced to practice patience, skill, and focus when working with glass. One of the fascinating things about fusing is that you never know exactly how the finished piece will look. It demands giving up SOME control to the natural element. The result can be well orchestrated, surprisingly pleasing, or simply a great learning experience.

I’ve been “playing” with fused glass for over 10 years and specialize in custom pieces that reflect personality and whimsy.

Take a four week class to learn tools that will last a lifetime!

Teresa is a massage therapist, licensed in Arizona since 1999, and a registered yoga instructor, practicing in private and group settings since 2004. She specializes in therapeutic, sport, prenatal, hot stone, Ashiatsu, and infant massage. She was formally trained in infant massage by Tina Allen, founder of theLiddle Kidz Foundation.

As part of infant massage classes, parents are taught about differing types of touch, infant behavioral states, cues, and reflexes and how to incorporate massage techniques to relieve/relax issues such as: teething, digestion, constipation, sleep disorder, and even colic. In the crawler to toddler class, yoga poses and stretches for both the children and parents are incorporated to help break restlessness and disinterest for maximum benefit.

For you working parents, did you know that the
5-10 minutes you take to massage your child will wipe away those 5-10 hours you’re away from them? You are taking time, one on one, creating a stronger parental bond. I strongly encourage fathers to join mothers in the classes for maximum benefit. It is so very important that both parents have that time in bonding with each child. As a working mother of three, Teresa knows how important this is!

Reusing for Holiday Decor!

Yup - you guessed it - we make pretty pretty things from old cardboard rolls!

(toilet paper or paper towels.)

After cutting into slices, glittering and gluing, one happy jammer made this star to hang from a home wreath. Seriously easy and sooooo inexpensive!

Cardboard chic - who knew!? :)

And to think that these blah boring rolls can be changed to gorgeous jammin pieces!

Burlap & Fabric Ornaments by Sheila

Sheila Carter just jammed right

into our holidays!!!

With little 2 inch squares of fabric, burlap, tulle & muslin, we learned how to make

these chic little ornaments.

Using a 3 inch styrofoam ball, styroglue some twine and shish-kabob sticks we glued and shoved our fabric into random patterns making the most darling ornament poofs!

Not complicated at all . . . Sheila showed us once and we were up & jammin!

She has an eye for fabulous! Grateful for the day she came into jam!

This was one of mine! I love!!!!!

Pull em apart - take out the nails and sand down a bit if you'd like.

Put slats together by nailing a stabilizer to back and also placing hanging

materials on so you can place on wall.

You can then white-wash or color-wash - then paint and embellish how you see fit!

Then check out hand made journals, vintage jewelry and one-of-a-kind crafts and found objects.

Please bring a canned good or non-perishable item to donate to our local food bank.

Using empty cheese cartons & cupcake liners, Nancy taught our jammers how to make the sweetest black & orange treasure boxes for Halloween.

Yup, a little paint, an old box from skinny cow, cupcake liners, glitter, hole punch, ribbon & sticky dots - these girls were whipping up a little something fabulous!

Teaching yoga and pilates in the valley since 2003, yoga has become her passion. She started doing mini yoga retreat with my yoga students back in 2009 where they go hiking somewhere here in the valley and then do yoga outside.

Also being Certified Infant Massage Teacher - receiving her training from Tina Allen, the founder of LIddle Kidz Foundation, he teaches parents how to massage their infants to toddlers in a 4 week class to help with childhood issues such as teething, constipation, colic, and to help them sleep longer and better.

Picket Fences @ jam! Coming to YOU November 2011

Hello! Miss JAM here!

Picket Fences is starting this November (running through April) as a "specialty night", ONE night a month @ jam. (The first Thursday of each month from 7-9pm to be exact!)

It's invitation only & I've invited leaders, pioneers, "rustic couture", & specialty niches that are not usually found all in one place. (there is a list below of who's on list to be invited as of now.)

We are asking people to bring canned food to donate so that we practice giving to those who need it most regularly.)

Think:: Crusty artisans breads, homemade jams, local honey, tea, and specialty cookies. Local pastries & cheeses. Handmade organic chocolates & brittles - locally produced. Vintage! Iron pieces! Welded items, fancy pasta, seasonal crafts. China, rebars, baskets & buckets! Fresh flowers, bottles, soldered items - everyone can bring canned or non perishable items for donating and giving back to local food banks.

We are always thankful. Live music & fantasy lights for you.

My dear friend Shea from Austin Texas came to visit and jammed-away

with us - look at her sweet face below!

Nancy Mills of Five Times Blessed swept us away to Paris with a sketch & watercolor class of the ever-so-romantic Eiffel Tower!

Nancy brought the music too . . . we were able to place our

sketches on 1920's music sheets!

Tons of tiny straight lines later . . .

and, ripped & torn edges . . .

this beautiful creation was made!

And to think Nancy sent me a picture last months with message attached saying,

"Do you think I should teach the jammers how to sketch this & we can

watercolor and glitter it too?!"

Fancy wallpaper scrap to use as the covering to our journal . . .

This machine adds the sticky stick to the back of the paper . . .

Lay it on and scrape it smooth . . .

Then we took a small piece of leather as our book bind and measure out the dots that we would drill holes through. These holes would be used to secure our paper booklets inside and also to show our pretty stitching.

Small drill over wood as not to damage table.

Finished product! Ahhh - so JAMMIN!
